2013 ALPFA Convention

ALPFA Seattle wants to help our local students who exemplify leadership through academic performance and service to ALPFA and their communities by sponsoring them to attend the 2013 ALPFA NationalConvention. The National Convention is a phenomenal event for our members. It offers countless opportunities to network, career and student development workshops, an extensive career fair, panel lunches, and a chance to connect with ALPFA members across the country. The convention is a good balance of work and fun. After the daily workshops you will have the chance to attend receptions, an ALPFA’s Got Talent competition, and a formal gala.

Thanks to the overwhelming success of our fund raising efforts at our 8th Annual Gala we were able to raise enough money to reopen the application and send additional qualified applicants to the ALPHA National Convention.  This is a limited opportunity to apply to be sponsored to attend the convention.

Selected students will be notified by the first week of July. Selected students will have their registration fee and airfare covered. Students are responsible for their own hotel arrangements.

2013 ALPFA Convention

August 3 – 7, 2013

Applicants must:

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale.
  • Be an ALPFA student member, whose membership dues have been received by ALPFA’S National Office no later than June 15, 2013. Join now at ALPFA Membership.
  • Submit a copy of your current official transcript and resume to students@seattlealpfa.org no later than June 30, 2013
  • Award recipients will be required to provide a brief write-up regarding their experience at convention no later than September 30, 2013.
